Tasks
Personal task manager with list and kanban board views
Last updated 2026-09-12
The Tasks page is a personal task manager built into your Opzello dashboard. It lives alongside your work logs so you can capture action items without switching tools.
Views
Tasks supports two display modes, toggled from the top of the page:
- List view — tasks grouped by due date (overdue, today, tomorrow, this week, later). Each row shows title, role badge, priority indicator, and due date chip. Color-coded left borders reflect priority.
- Board view — a kanban-style three-column layout: To Do, In Progress, Done. Drag tasks between columns to update status. Useful when you want to see workload at a glance.
Creating Tasks
Click Add task at the top right, or use the quick-add input pinned to the top of List view. Fields:
- Title — what needs to be done.
- Description — optional detail or context.
- Role — tag to a work role (Developer, Marketing, Sales, etc.) so tasks filter alongside logs.
- Priority — Low, Medium, High, or Urgent. Priority controls sort order and border color.
- Status — To Do, In Progress, or Done.
- Due date — date picker; overdue tasks surface at the top of List view.
- Goal link — optionally attach the task to a key result for progress tracking.
Tasks created from AI suggestions or meeting next-steps land here automatically.
Filtering
Use the filter row to narrow by:
- Role — show only tasks tagged to a specific role.
- Priority — filter to High or Urgent when triaging.
- Status tab — switch between To Do, In Progress, Done, or All.
- Search — full-text search across title and description.
Tips
- Keep Board view open during standups—drag cards live to reflect what is actually happening.
- Link high-priority tasks to goal key results so effort shows up in OKR progress automatically.
- Tasks from meeting next-steps inherit the meeting's contact and date, saving re-entry.
