Data Module

The Data module tracks any number you measure regularly: orders, conversion rate, reply time, model accuracy, or anything else. Each tracked metric has a current value and a previous value, so you can see at a glance whether it went up or down. The work role for this module is called Data.

Open the module

The Modules group in the sidebar shows a page for each of your work roles. To pick your roles, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose My work roles. Pick up to 3 roles, then click Save changes in the bar at the bottom. You can also find this page in Workspace Settings → Your work roles. Roles belong to one workspace, so you can pick different roles in each workspace.

You can open any module, even one that is not your role, from Modules → All Modules. If you don't see Modules in the sidebar, the workspace owner has turned off Role Modules in Workspace Settings → Features.

The dashboard

The top of the page has four numbers:

• Total metrics.
• Improved — metrics whose current value is higher than the previous value.
• Declined — metrics whose current value is lower than the previous value.
• Data hours — hours from your work logs tagged Data this month.

Below the numbers, two charts show Metrics by category and Data hours (14 days). Under the charts, Tracked metrics has a card for each metric with its value, unit, category and period. A green up arrow means the value went up; a red down arrow means it went down.

Record a metric

1. Click Record Metric at the top right of the page.
2. Type the Metric name and the Category. Both are required. Add a Unit if the number has one, such as %, $ or min.
3. Type the Current value, and the Previous value to compare it with. Period (YYYY-MM) and Recorded on start at today: change them if the number is for another month. You can also add Notes.
4. Click Record.

Update or remove a metric

To record a new number, click Edit on the metric. Type the old current value into Previous value and the new number into Current value, then click Update. Opzello does not move the old value for you. Click Delete to remove a metric.

Tips

• Up always counts as Improved. For a number where lower is better, such as reply time or returns, a drop shows as Declined with a red arrow. Read those arrows the other way round.
• Update your metrics on a fixed day, for example every Monday, so the comparison always covers the same length of time.
• Ask AI at the top of the page opens Ask AI in Data Analyst mode, so its answers focus on data work.
