Linking Work to Goals
Connect logs, modules, and tasks to key results
Last updated 2026-09-12
Execution stays honest when daily work ties to outcomes. Opzello supports goal links on logs, module records, and tasks so key results advance automatically.
From a goal detail page, open Link record and choose type: work log, meeting, campaign, shipment, project, or task. Pick the entity; the link stores metadata for rollup jobs.
Auto-track rules on a key result count qualifying events—e.g., sum billable dev hours or count meetings in stage “held.” Filters may include role, category, or tags.
Manual links suit one-off contributions auto rules might miss. Removing a link does not delete the underlying record.
When logging work, use the goal picker on the log form if available—faster than retroactive linking. Tasks created from meetings can inherit goal context.
Reports → Goal progress PDF uses linked activity for stakeholder updates. Keep links current; stale links inflate progress incorrectly until recalculation runs.
