Roles, weekly hours goal, and dashboard widget layout
Last updated 2026-09-12
Settings → Preferences is where you personalize how Opzello works for your specific role and routine.
Work Roles
Select all the roles that describe your work. Active roles determine:
- Which module shortcuts appear in your sidebar.
- Which role filters default in work logs, AI tools, and reports.
- The categories available when creating a new log entry.
You can enable as many roles as you need. Multi-role users see combined dashboards and can filter any view to a single role. Changes take effect immediately after saving.
Weekly Hours Goal
Set a target for how many hours you aim to log per week. This value powers:
- The progress gauge on your dashboard.
- The weekly view indicator (amber when within 10% of your target, red when over).
- AI Analyzer context—the model knows your target and flags weeks where you significantly under- or over-deliver.
Adjust your target when workload changes (e.g., switching from full-time to part-time, or during a crunch period).
Dashboard Widgets
Choose which widgets appear on your main dashboard. Available widgets:
- Goals — active goals with progress bars.
- Upcoming Meetings — your next scheduled meetings.
- Today's Tasks — tasks due today or overdue.
- AI Insights — latest AI analysis summary.
- Quick Actions — shortcuts for common actions (new log, new task, new meeting).
Toggle any widget off to keep your dashboard focused. Reorder by enabling or disabling to match your daily workflow.
Thank you — that helps us improve the docs.
