Your First Work Log
Create a complete daily work entry step by step
Last updated 2026-09-12
A work log is the atomic unit of Opzello. Every insight, report, and AI summary ultimately derives from these entries.
To create one, go to Logs → Daily or click + Log on the dashboard. Required fields typically include:
- Role — Which professional hat applies
- Category — Type of work (deep work, meeting, admin, etc.)
- Title — Short description of what you did
- Hours — Decimal hours spent
- Status — Completed, in progress, or blocked
Optional fields enrich analytics: notes, tags, links to projects/campaigns/shipments, and billable flags. Use notes for context you will want when reviewing the month or feeding AI.
The header timer offers a faster path: start the timer while you work, stop when done, and Opzello pre-fills duration on the log form. Edit title and category before saving.
After saving, the entry appears in daily, weekly, and monthly views. If linked to a goal key result with auto-tracking, progress may update immediately. You can edit or soft-delete logs later; deleted logs leave audit-friendly traces for compliance-focused teams.
Aim for consistency over perfection—one honest log per focused block beats sporadic bulk entry at week’s end.
