Developer Module

Track software projects and the time you spend on development

The Developer module tracks your software projects: what each one is, its tech stack, its status and its priority. It also shows the time you log as a developer.

Open the module

The Modules group in the sidebar shows a page for each of your work roles. To pick your roles, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose My work roles. Pick up to 3 roles, then click Save changes in the bar at the bottom. You can also find this page in Workspace Settings → Your work roles. Roles belong to one workspace, so you can pick different roles in each workspace.

You can open any module, even one that is not your role, from Modules → All Modules. If you don't see Modules in the sidebar, the workspace owner has turned off Role Modules in Workspace Settings → Features.

The dashboard

The top of the page has three numbers:

  • Active projects — projects with the status Active.
  • Completed this month — projects marked Completed this month.
  • Hours this month — hours from your work logs tagged Developer this month.

Below the numbers, two charts show your Developer work logs: Hours (14 days) and Hours by category. They stay empty until you log work with the Developer role. Under the charts, Projects has a card for each project with its description, tech stack and status.

Add a project

  1. Click Add Project at the top right of the page.
  2. Type the project Name. It is the only required field. You can also add a Description, a Tech stack (separate items with commas) and a GitHub URL.
  3. Pick a Status (Active, Paused, Completed or Archived) and a Priority (Low, Medium or High).
  4. Click Create.

Change or remove a project

Click Edit on a project card to change it. Click the bin icon next to Edit to delete the project.

Tips

  • When a project is finished, set its status to Completed. It then counts in Completed this month.
  • Log your development work with the Developer role, so the hours charts show where your time goes.
  • Ask AI at the top of the page opens Ask AI in Developer mode, so its answers focus on development work.
  • The module does not connect to GitHub or read your code. The GitHub URL is only a link.
