Key Results
Metrics, weights, and automatic progress tracking
Last updated 2026-09-12
Key results make goals measurable. Each KR has a metric type (number, percent, boolean), start/target values, current value, weight, and optional auto-track source.
Weights must sum to 100% per goal. Progress rolls up: (current - start) / (target - start) clamped and multiplied by weight. Recalculation jobs run when linked records change.
Metric types:
- Number — Raw counts (hours, calls, revenue units)
- Percent — Completion ratios
- Boolean — Done/not done gates
Auto-track sources pull from work logs, meetings, campaigns, shipments, or tasks depending on configuration. Manual KRs accept direct value updates with audit notes.
Status chips (on_track, at_risk, behind) can be manual or derived from pace vs time remaining. Use at_risk early to trigger mitigations, not surprise at quarter end.
Edit weights mid-quarter sparingly—document why in a check-in note for future you.
