Privacy Policy
Opzello ("Opzello", "we", "us", or "our") provides an AI-powered customer-communication and work management platform for teams and organizations (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Effective date: July 11, 2026
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), workspace and role details you provide when you register or use the Service.
- Work content: work logs, tasks, meeting notes, goals/OKRs, and other content you or your team create within the Service.
- Billing information: subscription plan, billing history, and payment metadata. Full payment card details are processed and stored directly by Stripe, our payment processor — we do not store your card number.
- Usage data: log-in activity, feature usage, device/browser information, and IP address, collected automatically to operate and secure the Service.
- WhatsApp conversation data: if you connect a WhatsApp Business number, we receive and store the messages, phone numbers, display names, and media exchanged on that number, together with the notes, assignments, and labels your team adds. This includes messages sent to you by your own customers.
- Communications: messages you send us through support tickets or other contact channels.
2. How AI Features Process Your Data
Certain features of the Service (analysis, brainstorming, strategy tools, and the WhatsApp AI features) send relevant work content and WhatsApp conversation content to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. This content is used to generate the AI response you requested. We do not use your content to train our own models. Anthropic's handling of data sent to its API is governed by Anthropic's own API terms and privacy commitments, in addition to this policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; process subscriptions and payments; power AI analysis features you request; communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests; monitor for and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms of Service; and comply with legal obligations.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with the following third parties, only as needed to operate the Service:
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Anthropic, PBC — AI processing for analysis, brainstorming, and strategy features.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — delivery and receipt of messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform, for workspaces that connect a WhatsApp number. Meta's handling of that traffic is governed by Meta's own terms and privacy policies.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Cookies and Session Data
The Service uses a session cookie (via Laravel Sanctum) to keep you signed in; this one is essential and cannot be turned off while you are using the Service. Separately, we record in-app page views to understand which features are used — only if you accept analytics in the cookie banner, and you can change that choice at any time from the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account and work content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is soft-deleted and permanently removed from active systems within a reasonable period thereafter, except where we are required to retain records for legal, billing, or security purposes.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@opzello.com.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on this page with a new effective date.
